Live Chat Wrap-Up: Feb. 18

Thanks to all of you who tuned into our action-packed, special-guest filled, hyper-informative live chat last night!

We started things off by playing one of our favorite theme song submissions (so far), a clever tune submitted by Asia La Kay. Keep rocking those submissions everyone! Once we receive enough submissions, we’ll open the voting up to all of you to determine what will become the *official* Artists House theme song.

We also had three special guests this week. Claire Hermes is a music business student at Loyola University New Orleans. She works for the renowned Preservation Hall in New Orleans, which is currently struggling with making the long-standing traditional jazz this city is famous for relevant to a modern (and younger) audience. Some of you gave us some great ideas on the chat, and if you have more ideas, please shout out at us on twitter.

Next, we had our first out-of-towner guest, Brian Bishop, who has spent the last several years working in a wide variety of aspects of the music industry. We got in touch with Brian on Twitter after George opened up the Artists House show to all of you - if you’re going to be in New Orleans at any point, get in touch with us and we’ll put the camera on you!

Finally, the founder of Artists House Music, the man himself, John Snyder joined the conversation to talk about where we are going with this motley crew.

I’d invite you to watch the entirety of the video recorded last night, because there are quite a few gems (both informative and entertaining) throughout!

And once again, I’d like to emphasize how great it is that so many of you are creating this powerful force within the industry together with us. Markets are conversations, and our voices are louder and clearer than ever.
