Go-Getters, Tell Me Your Story!
I was amazed to see all the immediate thoughtful responses to yesterday’s post, which one of you referred to as a “call-to-arms” for the indie music community. The post was called: Calling All Go-Getters, The Music Industry is Yours.
So it seems we’ve struck a chord here! Now, I’d consider all of you to already be go-getters, at least to some degree, because you are already out reading blogs such as this one, having conversations with us on twitter, attending our live chats, and so on. In talking with you, I’ve gathered that you already know quite a bit about the music business, you are keeping your finger on the pulse of the community, and you definitely have the unwavering passion for your craft. That’s awesome, and it’s more than what the majority of musicians/music entrepreneurs are doing. So, since we know that we, together, are the future of the music industry, let’s begin to prove it.
I want to know your story. I want to know what you are doing to redefine the music landscape right now. Haven’t quite started, but have an idea or plan? Share your plan! The whole reason we are trying to build an Artists House Community is so that we can support each other’s careers and passions, so that we can all do what we love.
So help each other out. First, share your story. Tell everyone here what you do, why you are doing it, and how you think we can change the music business for the better. Then, read others’ stories and give them some feedback.
All of you who share/respond will be invited to join an Artists House group, a collective of sorts, that we can build on from here on out. Let’s do it!
