Artists House Vault: Terry McBride, founder of Nettwerk Music Group
Terry McBride’s name made the blog rounds a few weeks ago when he reemphasized in an interview how his record label and band management service, Nettwerk Music Group, would be revamped going into the new year. Terry cited fans as the most powerful decision-makers in the new music business. Nettwerk is shifting its focus and business model accordingly. After you watch the videos below which will give you some insight into where Terry’s thoughts were a year or two ago, I suggest you read the article about how McBride is putting fans in charge of bands today.

This next video is a longer (1/2 hour) one-on-one interview that we filmed in May of 2006. Terry’s words are worth listening to, and this video gives some good insights into how to run a successful indie label and how to change with an evolving business.
